Please save the date for the IRM’s annual retreat, which will be held on January 18, 2022 from 1-5 PM in Houston Hall! We hope to see you all for this in-person afternoon of highlights from IRM labs, discussion about future research initiatives, and welcoming of new IRM faculty. The IRM retreat is open to any faculty, staff, postdocs, and students from Penn/CHOP interested in regenerative medicine research.
By popular demand, we are again inviting faculty interested in starting new collaborations to present short “pitches” about their ideas. At our last retreat, these talks generated a lot of discussion and positive feedback, and the IRM was able to offer funding for initial experiments.
What we are looking for
A 3-slide, 5-minute presentation about an idea, technique, or topic you would like to explore with other IRM researchers. These could be things you have been dreaming about for a while or entirely new areas that might benefit from the wide range of expertise in the IRM. You don’t need to have a collaborator in mind; all you need is an idea you want to share with the group.
Similar to last year, the IRM plans on devoting initial pilot funding to collaborations stemming from these discussions.
If you are interested
Send Chris Yarosh (firstname.lastname@example.org) a one paragraph description of your planned presentation by Monday, December 20. Please include a brief description of the idea you want to discuss and why you think a new collaboration within the IRM could help get your project off the ground
Please mark your calendars for Jan 18!
